Passion Flower ,,Birding Big

Howdee all,

Still here in Chatham, hanging out with the family.

Saw a shooting star two days ago that was amazing..wish I could have captured that on camera. It was so big and bright I could see it despite the fog and bright lights of the ball field!

I don't have a picture of the shooting star..but check out this Amazing flower.

“Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata) was used historically in South America and later in Europe as a "calming" herb for anxiety, insomnia, seizures, and hysteria. It is still used today to treat anxiety and insomnia. Although scientists aren't sure, it is believed that passionflower works by increasing levels of a chemical called gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the brain. GABA lowers the activity of some brain cells, resulting in relaxation.”

Uses for Passionflower
”Passionflower has been used for anxiety, insomnia, restlessness, epilepsy, and other conditions of hyperactivity, as well as high blood pressure. Passionflower also is included in many pain formulas when discomfort is caused by muscle tension and emotional turmoil.
In Europe the flowers are added to numerous pharmaceuticals to treat nerve disorders, heart palpitations, anxiety, and high blood pressure. Unlike most sedative drugs, passionflower has been shown to be nonaddictive, although it is not a strong pain reliever.
Passionflower Precautions and Warnings
Passionflower is generally considered to be nontoxic when used in moderation. Many herbalists prescribe three or four cups a day without any problems reported. Do not take passionflower if you are already taking prescription medication for anxiety or depression, as excessive sleepiness has been reported.”

We went to the Welfleet Flea market with the family yesterday.I usually purchase lots of costume jewelry from one particular vender, to bring home to my family in CT…but the vendor was not there..Sorry Sickstas and Muther!

Also went to the Birding store to find a cane/stool for Jeffs mother but they were out..so

Jeff decided to look for birds.

Two more days and I have not gone birding! Think we might fit that in tomorrow!
