First Bird of the year…

Howdee all,

We left Connecticut on New Years Day… Waldo ready to leave..We follow him out to the carAny guesses where?

Waldo does some of the driving..

We overnighted in Annapolis and left the next morning for the last leg of the trip to North Carolina

When we arrived Waldo spotted something different…

Craigy made a new gate..He always makes something for Sicksta with hearts for Christmas..this was her surprise this year…Sorry Sicksta..the new kitchen might be next year..hee hee

I unpacked all the millions of pounds of clothing and belongings I took…way to much..I have forgotten how to pack..and I bring everything..

Anyway…

Back to my first bird of the year..We were traveling on the first..and so..I really only had quick glances of birds..I wont count them..

This is the bird I will count..When I woke up the morning of the 2nd..this fella was tapping on our bedroom window…

I think he wanted more Bark Butter..and was glad we had returned…

Meet Bella…

Howdee all,

Two weeks since we left our Home on Wheels in North Carolina and headed to Connecticut for a Family Christmas.  A very busy, fun filled two weeks…despite the sudden loss of my parents shining, smiling Star just a few days before Christmas.

We were happy that we were there for my parents to make a very difficult time a bit easier for them. My father is a person, who can not be without a dog….so…we searched and searched online until we found

Bella…

She is eight months old…house trained..and a very sweet Dobbie that hardly barks.

Her owners both worked..the wife was pregnant and they had no time for Bella…they were sad to loose her after eight months but felt it was best for Bella…she spent over eight hours a day in a crate..not to mention the evening.

She  will now have plenty of attention.

And some obedience training…she had the tendency to jump on peopleBella made herself at home and is very happy…

And so is Dad…

On Christmas day we were there…Sicksta Loris..the large Garage fit our clan for Christmas dinner..

And here we are this morning….

After the snowstorm…about six inches here…It was very windy…the clouds were moving quickly in different layers..

We saw birds being blown sideways…Sicksta Dell and I helped Dad ..he plowed and we shoveled…

We are here for a bit longer..haven't decided when we are leaving..before or after New Years…

Until then…we are still here at Mom and Dads..

This has been a sad holiday so far for my family, my parents lost their beloved dog Star suddenly on Thursday. She was only six years old.  It will be a difficult time for them..

Below..a photo of Star smiling for me...no.. not a growl a big smile..she was a silly pup.

Road Trip …Where's Waldo?

Howdee all,

Saturday, Jeff, Sicksta Dell, Ballie and I piled into our luggage and present filled Ford Explorer and headed north…for our Christmas road trip.

We left the Homey in North Carolina to stay salt free…though, not clean..the birds are doing their best to color our Homey purple with Holly berry  poo.

So..Where's Waldo?Any guesses?

Waldo thought this was an amazing pork cutlet sandwich for 4 dollars..filled with coleslaw, tomato, onion and corn salsa.A cute little town…a quick stop for lunch and coffee..Check out the name of the candy store…do you know where Waldo is yet?Christmas tree with tractor decorationsOn the road again…thru winters whiteBeautiful winter grays…Where's Waldo Now? Are we going north? West?

Can you guess where our first stop might be?I think some of you know…

Check out the ice laden trees…a frozen delightWe made it to our first destination Saturday evening…and this was one of the roads getting there..

So where was our first destination?

Hint..it was a city..and we went to visit a family member there…For those of you who don’t know my family here's another hint.

There was a football game on Sunday and the home team lost…in a nail biter game.
