Tucson

HOWDY
We arrived in Tucson yesterday afternoon...We are staying at Catalina State park....I will post a video soon.,, Its great to be here and already we have seen a rare bird...a Rufus backed Robin...couldn't find a picture to show you.

Anyway... Will start helping Lena with transportation to therapy appts. a few days this week....they weren't expecting us so soon...(CRAZED DRIVER)....so arrangement were made for most of her appts this week.
Next week we will take Lena to all of her appts. and where ever else she want to go.

Our birdfeeders are out and we are settled in. The weather is warm and sunny.
And the fur boys are having a great time sitting outside and stalking the cactus wrens.

STIR CRAZY

Howdy all,
Yesterday we traveled from about eight and drove till around 6pm...even though it was allot of driving...it wasn't so bad for me, the crazed driver let me have a leisurely breakfast, I cut up vegetables for snacking and ed and straightened Homey before we left at 8. We also had a nice lunch stop ...where the crazed driver took a nap....haa...i was able to relax and eat a yummy egg salad sandwich without being rushed.

We drove till after dark and stayed overnight at Walmart...had a bad meal at a Texas Road house.....should have gone to McDonalds in Walmart instead.

So this morning the crazed driver leaves at 5am....drives a half hour to the flying j for gas....and propane...I had to get out of my jammies and wait outside while they filled the homey with propane....it was a cold morning. burrr
So here we are on route 10 driving thru New Mexico....nope just crossed the border into Arizona...two hours and 45 minutes to go....yippee

We will watch the Patriots game with Steve and Lena tonight.

OH to walk the earth again....get me outta here....

I'M STIR CRAZY

Help Me I am with a crazed Driver......

Ok...two days have gone by ...we had 2100 miles to drive to Tucson
the first day the crazed driver drove 510 miles ....the second day he woke up at three thirty and decided he was ready to go...ughhh....and drove another 600 miles...HELP....

Last night I said I had things to do before we left in the morning...So we didn't leave till after 8am thank goodness. I cant help but get grumpy....It is too long for me.... I cant stand it...I would prefer around 300 miles to 400 a day max. ..stop early and go for a nice walk, then make dinner and relax.
But with the crazed driver...we just go go till i get madder than a hatter......You would think he would learn by know not to get me mad.....ha ha....I guess he doesn't care....he would rather drive and drive....I think he needs a new job..... Truck driver.....
"I think today will be a shorter drive day"....says the cRazed driver..

We will see....as of this moment we have 782 miles to go....
I try to keep busy on the computer or watching a show on tv...doing some reading...but its not the same as being parked doing these things...its draining i tell you....draining...DRAINING
help i am being drained.....somebody find the stopper...i am going going....nuts..

Cottage of the Month....shabby chic stuff

I Love shabby chic....I have found a few websites recently that I love to look at and get ideas from.
I live in a small space as you all know... Ive decorated our Motorhome...better known as HOMEY, in a shabby chic style....and am always looking for more things to do to it.
Check out this website...I have been looking at all the cottages as Jeff drives route 20, Tucson bound.
The Website is set up beautifully.....you can buy goodies and just get ideas. I love the Cottage of the Month .

Traveling south....

Howdy all
We left 930 from Carthage and will be north of Birmingham, Alabama tonight. Super Walmart parking lot overnight. Pretty much uneventful drive, a little traffic thru atlanta...not much...
and one incident leaving Aberdeen, NC... saw some silly girl in front of us at a traffic light changed lanes and sideswiped a police car ...taking off his mirror...whoops

We have reached Walmart .... 1, 631 miles to go

Change of plans

Well....we are no longer going to spend the winter in Texas...
....after talking with our friends Steve and Lena from Tucson we decided we should go help them out.
Lena is recovering from a recent Stroke....Steve just took a new job and will be starting next week......So we will go help out as much as we can.

We will head out sometime the beginning of next week. We will stop in Livingston, Texas to get our licence renewed and pick up our mail. Then hoof it to Tucson.
