Brown-headed Nuthatch
Howdee all,
This Brown-headed nuthatch has been hanging around the Bark Butter…
See the Bark butter lower right corner..For some reason ..it let me get very close…
I was only about three feet away..
Which is the only reason my tiny point and shoot was able to take such detailed photos of it.
So…why did it let me get so close
I have noticed this happening with other birds around the Bark Butter
Nancy @ The Zen Birdfeeder blog and co-owner of a Wild Birds Unlimited Store says that her clients say that Bark Butter is Crack for birds..
I am starting to think she is right…..
See the bits of Bark Butter on the bill….
This silly Bird just stayed in one spot for over five minutes…
I didn’t want to disturb it too much..so I left it to its
Crack Bark Butter…

A Busy few weeks…
Howdee all,
It was a very busy two weeks of travel and fun.
We are now back in North Carolina and I had a nice sleep in my own bed! I missed my own bed and fleece sheets! We rarely leave our Homey on wheels behind…but, we didn’t want to subject it to the salt on the roads.
I am still putting away clothing and gifts…and getting settled in.
I really need to play catch up everywhere on the internet. Twitter tweets have been coming in but I had had no time to read many of them. Blogger friends posts have
been updated and I have not had time to visit many…Facebook seems to be a little easier to keep up with…though, I am sure I have missed allot.
I have lots more to post here..I want to show you what Sicksta Dells husband made for her while we were away. I also want to show you my first real bird encounter of the year.
But…I need to stock the feeders, clean my doormat, vacuum, do dishes, make coffee, say hello to the pups next door,go outside and look around, work on my post for Birdingblogs..which I find is taking up allot of my time hummmm…
I might need to give something up…what should it be? Any suggestions?
Anyway…I put together this little New Years Video from Our House to Yours…
See you in Cyberspace soon
